Ben

A UCSB alumnus who has made Santa Barbara his home, Ben is the drummer for the band. He’s been playing drums since his 10th birthday and has

been a member of multiple bands in both Santa Barbara and Los Angeles since then. Now, as the founder of The Backing Band, he’s ready to bring the noise to you!

Alex

A staple of the Santa Barbara music community, Alex is a seasoned keys player who is ready to bring his skill and passion to The Backing Band. His local hip-hop/funk band, AliWay, can be seen playing not just in Santa Barbara but all up and down the coast. When he’s not playing keys, Alex is an avid hockey player and active member of local community outreach organizations.

Jake

Jake is a

Jared is a funky cat who also happens to be a cat person. When he’s not busy collecting frogs, he’s collecting lint since he’s so deep in the pocket. Another alumnus of UCSB, Jared, is a local whose love for funk can be felt in every pluck of his bass. You’re in good hands with him backing you up!
